Lakewood Products is a woman owned privately held company in business over 35 years and located in the heart of the medical device manufacturing world. The current owners and management team have over 75 years of combined experience in medical device product development, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. We currently supply some of the largest medical device companies in the world with cable assemblies, medical procedural kit assembly, device assembly, box build, metal stampings, and molded parts. Lakewood Products specializes in providing best fit solutions for our customers. From collaborative final design to supply chain optimization to aftermarket support, Lakewood Products is ready to meet your needs. Deborah Hohenstein has over 25 years of experience as a quality engineer and consultant working in the defense and medical device industry. In concert with co-owning Lakewood Products, Ms. Hohenstein owns and runs a quality systems consulting business. She is primarily focused in the medical device industry. Deb has a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota.
Joy Lubben
Chief Operations Officer
Co-Owner
Joy Lubben has over 20 years of experience working in Administration/Office Management positions within the local school system, non-profits, and in medical manufacturing. Joy has production experience in the medical industry and is IPC certified. Prior to owning Lakewood products with Deb Hohenstein and Carrie Berg, Mrs. Lubben held numerous management roles. Mrs. Lubben has a dual Business Administration degree from Grand Rapids College.
Carrie Berg

Carrie Berg has more than 15 years of experience in quality engineering in the defense and medical device industries. Prior to owning Lakewood products with Deb Hohenstein and Joy Lubben, Ms. Berg was a Quality Manager at Guidant Corporation and owned and operated a successful sporting goods company. Ms. Berg has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and an MBA in New Ventures from the University of St. Thomas.
Tom Prentice
Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Tom Prentice has 25 years of broad based experience in design and manufacturing engineering, project management, pharmaceutical project management, quality systems and global supply chain expertise. Prior to joining Lakewood Products, Mr. Prentice held numerous management positions with Medtronic in global leadership of manufacturing IT, supply chain and manufacturing. Mr. Prentice has a B.S. in mechanical engineering and an MSMOT from the University of Minnesota.
Doug Kimble
General Manager
Doug Kimble has over 25 years of experience in supply chain management and operations in the medical device industry. Before joining Lakewood Products, Mr. Kimble held numerous management positions at Avecor Cardiovascular and Medtronic. Mr. Kimble also was Director of Supply Chain Management at Enpath Medical. Mr. Kimble has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
